Joining a Panhellenic Sorority

Joining a Panhellenic Sorority

There is more than just one way to join. Select the links below to learn more about opportunities to join our Panhellenic community.

Fall Primary Recruitment

This event takes place the week before fall classes begin. It’s a great way to meet all eighteen of our member groups. With specific timed rounds, invitation lists, and limits to the number of sororities a potential member might meet each round- it’s very structured, but it’s a great way to get a fresh look at all of our sororities before school begins. This is how 98% of our members join.

Continuous Open Bidding

Continuous Open Bidding (COB) is a way for Panhellenic sororities to add women to their sisterhood throughout the Spring and Fall semester. This is a secondary recruitment process that is more casual than Formal Recruitment.
Most of the time, the participating sororities hold open houses, invite potential members to coffee dates, or other fun social activities. If you are interested in sorority membership, and a chapter invites you to a COB event, you are encouraged to attend. Continuous Open Bidding does not operate on a specific schedule, so some chapters may complete their COB process before another chapter begins it. If you missed out on primary recruitment, this is a great way to try to find a place within Panhellenic at Auburn.
Please be advised that COB is different from Fall Primary Recruitment and that submitting our online interest form does not register you for Primary Recruitment. By submitting the online interest form, you are only indicating that you are interested in Continuous Open Bidding, it does not guarantee that you will be reached out to by chapters.
